My Personal Concierge Website Overhaul!

I’ve recently completed a significant update of my website. I had two main goals for the updated.
  1. I have recently changed my ideal client from “Busy Professional Women” to “Busy Professionals Families” – this major change has informed the entire update of my website.
  2. I wanted to make it super easy for people to (a) understand what we do and (b) find out why and how to use use. Even though I have been doing this since 2004, it is still challenging to easily and clearly explain what a personal concierge is and how potential clients could use us. Improving this process is a continual work in progress for me!
Below I have summarised the updates I have implemented on my site, and those that I am still planning to do.

1. The very first thing I did is change the front page‘s main image. I am a very visual person, so this was done to both completely update the message of whom I’m targeting, but finding the right image meant that I could continually refer to it for inspiration as I was making updates.

2. I added some more images to my home page to make it more appealing and also continue to reinforce my ideal client.

3. Following on from this, I added images to the top of every one of my main pages, using the images to again reinforce the ideal client I’m speaking to. I my ideal client to recognise themselves on the pages they visit.45. I updated my Services page and also refreshed my two sub-pages, Personal Concierge Services and Personal Assistant Services, including using photos and adding more photos.

4. As you will see, I use a lot of bright buttons on all my pages. I use these as an attention grabbing feature, encouraging website visitors to click on them and explore my site.

5. I’ve updated my testimonials, with the goal of focusing on those that demonstrate the busy professional families I’ve worked for. I always try to include names and details about clients, as well as images (where I have permission). This adds strong credibility, and the images also help people to ‘see’ themselves in my clients.

6. The case studies page has had a refresh, and I plan to make further additions, as well as turning them into blog posts and social media graphics. The goal of the case studies page is to reinforce even further the types of clients we work for, so that busy professional families recognise that they too can use our services.

7. Finally, I created a new video, targeting busy professional families, where I explain how using a personal concierge service could help them and make them feel. I’ve shared it on multiple social media platforms, and placed in on a key page on my website. This is a trial, but I am hoping to utilise even more videos (both stock images and videos of myself) to expand my marketing.

In addition to those mentioned above, I still have more I’d like to do:
  1. I plan to create a new Free Download to encourage sign ups to my e-newsletter.
  2. I will be creating more blog post targeted at busy professional families, which I will then share on social media and in my newsletter.
At every stage of my website update, my goal is to put myself in the shoes of my ideal client and speak to them. No doubt there are many more improvements I can make, but I am pleased with the progress I have made. As I have more conversations, and receive more feedback, I will continue to tweak and update.
